About Z Modular and the file that precedes a module

This is an independent China sourcing and procurement coordination service for modular and portable buildings. It is not the original Z Modular website and is not an authorized distributor. Suppliers manufacture; we coordinate the evidence and commercial comparison.

Our process begins with a common request sheet, then candidate screening, quotation comparison, sample coordination and optional inspection and export coordination. We do not present source-brand headcount, history or capacity as facts about this service.

A city in a brand search phrase does not establish a local office, supplier or project record. Send the actual deployment country and the relevant load basis so the inquiry can be routed to suitable suppliers.

Procurement flow from brief to dispatch

The line is deliberately ordinary. Each gate has an owner and a record. A module does not skip a gate because a ship date is close.

Gate 1

Model lock

Plan, storeys, corridor links and the foundation interface are frozen. Volumetric modules and panelized wall cassettes are chosen here, because the choice changes both the container loading plan and the site hours.

Gate 2

Material release

Mill certificates, coating mass and panel core are matched to the corrosivity category. If the brief calls for Z275 galvanized light-gauge members, request a certificate that identifies the coating designation. It is not applied to every hot-rolled rafter.

Gate 3

Assembly and MEP

The selected supplier assembles frames, floors and sandwich panels to its approved jig; inspection records must be requested. Electrical, plumbing and HVAC stop at the marked interfaces. Sanitary packages list fixtures that are factory-fitted versus site-fitted.

Gate 4

Dispatch record

Dimensional report, lifting-point check and packing list travel with the module. A missing record holds the box. The ship does not create the record afterwards.

Workflow evidence that a buyer can request

Use these process markers to track a request. Supplier production slots, certificates and local approval remain subject to project-level verification.

1 brief Use, quantities, location, dimensions and load basis recorded.
2+ offers Supplier quotations compared when suitable candidates respond.
1 matrix Scope and exclusions kept visible to the buyer.
1 checklist Inspection and shipment documents coordinated as agreed.

Traceability that a reviewer can follow

Steel coil tags and mill certificates on a rack

Steel identity stays with the member

Cold-formed studs and hot-rolled frames are not mixed in one certificate bundle. The requested bundle should list grade, heat and the coating or paint system. When a weld is required, the procedure and the welder qualification sit in the same bundle. AWS D1.1 is referenced only when the contract names that code. EN 1090 execution class is referenced only for work that will be declared into that regime.

A supplier ISO 9001 certificate, if supplied and verified for that supplier, concerns a management system. It does not certify the building, wall fire resistance or a project snow-load calculation.

Inspector checking a module corner diagonal

The initial unit sets the tolerance band

The first module of a repeated order is measured for length, width, diagonal, opening position and lifting-point location. Later modules are compared with that record. A drift beyond the agreed band stops the batch. The comparison is a table, not a photograph of a finished interior.

Ask each supplier to state the proposed panel thickness in millimetres and identify the assembly tested. Supplier drawings should name the core, the density where the supplier states it, and the target thermal transmittance. A range of 0.25 to 0.60 W/m2K is a discussion band, not a U-value already achieved on your wall.

Ask which sourcing gate your project has reached

If the load basis is still open, the desk will not quote a ship week. Send the country and the known criteria instead.
